- 6.13 Yes, the argument is based on sound reason, premises that lower oil production case higher  petrol prices.

- 6.14 No false standing in the rain premises dose not loos to a cold.

- 6.15 No false not necessary that the people will move from the city because of the pollution.

- 6.16 No there is no business which cane fill all the tables every day impossible.

- 6.18 No false maybe some of the people will die or some of them is do not think of getting married.

- 6.20 Yes, every year the digital televisions are improving which makes the programs also lead better.

Exercise #7


Studying inside the country is better than studying over the seas

Studying in the country is better than studying abroad. As anything studying abroad have advantages and disadvantages.

I think the disadvantages are more than the advantages. One of the disadvantages is when the student stays away from his family and his culture he might forget or change his culture and cosign him to get bad habits. In addition he could cost the country a lot of money during his studies abroad. Also most of the countries which UAE is mafias are the street so he will not be safe there.
In my opinion the most thing which I don’t like from studying a broad is being away from the family because it’s the most thing which break the mothers hearts, she would like to see her son or daughter in front her eyes.
In the other hand I can say UAE become one of the best countries in the world in Education by having one of the best schools design and methods in the world.  Also the methods quality and quantities of collages and Universities almost in the best three countries in the world.
If we come to the teachers, in the UAE we have many of brilliant local teachers and the country attracts also the genius instructors from the non-locals from outside of the country from many nationalities.


In my conclusion I can say I prefer  studying inside the country more than studying abroad and I hope that one day the country will stop sending the students outside the country and the other countries studying there student to the UAE to continue their studies.

ARGUMENT 1

The following are the basic factors of an argument:
.        A position or a point of view
.         An attempt to persuade others to accept that point of view
.         Reasons given to support that point of view.
.         Conclusion

Read the following passage and identify the following:

Main argument:

the cats could case risk for the human because usually there is direct contact to the cats which could transfer the diseases the human.

Reasons that support the argument:

Cats could carry a strange diseases such as protozoa, asthma and alopecia which harm the humans health and appearance because he will lose all his hair.

Conclusion:

Cats can carry a lot of different types of disease that can affect the humans without knowing about them cause dangerous risks.




It is important that pregnant women and those with a poor immune systems become aware of the potential risks posed by cat. Many of us keep cats as house pets without realizing the dangers they may be harboring. Cats are hosts to infectious protozoa that cause disease in mammals such as humans. Adult humans rarely showed signs of significant disease if they become infected. However, if pregnant women become infected, the foetus can become infected by parasites and suffer serious congenital damage. In the worst cases, infants may lose their eyesight and acquire motor deficits. In people with poor immune systems or AIDS protozoa can cause seizure and death. The symptoms of the disease are not evident in cats so there is no way of knowing if a particular cat is at risk.

Exercise #5

Benefits

- Improved attention and Observation:-

An example from my real life is when I decided to buy a new car. My old car was a Toyota corolla. It did not have many features such as navigation, bluetooth... So I began to look in the internet for a car which include all the features I want in a car.

- More focused reading:-

I started reading in the internet, car magazines and newspaper looking for new features in the cars. I started reading about each feature carefully.

- Improved ability to identify the key points in a text or other massage rather than becoming distracted by less important material:-

After reading articles in the internet, car magazine and newspaper. noticed that navigation system, bluetooth and DVD where mentioned in each article.

- Improved ability to respond to the appropriate point in a massage.

Therefore I started looking for the cars which include these features.

- Knowledge to how to get your own point across more easily:-

 Those features which where mentioned in the articles are important to be in a car but I needed a car that as safety lock to secure the doors which is safer for people who have children.

- Skills to analysis that you can choses to apply in a variety to situations:-

So after searching for all the features I needed in a car I found that the BMW has all those features and many more so I decided to buy a BMW.

Exercise #4


Barriers

Barrier 1 “Misunderstanding what is meant by criticism”:

 Some people get angry when people criticize their actions or their words; and that is because they don’t know that the criticism is for two reasons, one positive and the other one is negative. The positive criticism is to show what is good on which they criticized, either the negative criticism is to show what is not good on which they criticized and fix it in the future. For example, when the teacher corrects the homework for the student he shows to the student his mistakes to fix them in the future.


Barrier 2 “Lack of methods and strategies”: 

There is no fixed way to improve critical skills, but I think that reading and listening to the older people who have enough experience in life is a good way to improve the critical skills for anyone.


Barrier 3 “Lack of practice”: 

If you do not exercise criticism thus critical skills then surely it will weaken, so you should exercise criticism from time to time and the other to ensure the survival of critical knowledge.


Barrier 4 “Reluctance to criticism those with more expertise”: 

It means that you should not be afraid to enter into a discussion with those who you think is better than you, such as the debate between the teacher and the student, and also the teacher might learn something from his student. No one knows everything, so don't be afraid to criticize anything at any time.


Barrier 5 “Affective reasons”

In order to be a good critic, you should know that emotion may affect your critical skills, so you should keep your emotions aside, and you should know that criticism does not mean to be only a fanatic for your opinion, but also to accept the opinions of others.


Barrier 6 “Mistaking information for understanding”: 

One of the coaches in my work has authored a scenario to teach the trainees something. The scenario was revolves around two people, One of them asks a question and the other one answers it. The coach is the one who was asking questions and one of the trainees was answering. The coach asked the first question and did not pay attention to the answer, he repeated this action to the second and third question, so the trainee was angry on the coach and he did not understand the coach's intent of this action, where he wants to show the trainees that attention is important for the coach and the trainee.


Barrier 7 “Insufficient focus and attention to detail”: 

If you want to criticize something you need to take care of the details and do not rely on superficial things. Also you must have compelling reasons to show your point of view.
